Terms of Service

A clear agreement for using Recap.md.

These terms govern access to Recap.md, including the web application and Chrome extension.

Effective October 22, 2026

Using the service

You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping extension credentials secure. You may use Recap.md only in compliance with applicable law and these terms.

Recording and consent

Laws and workplace rules about recording, transcription, notice, and consent vary. You are solely responsible for providing required notices and obtaining permission from meeting participants before capturing, uploading, or processing a conversation. Do not use Recap.md where recording or transcription is prohibited.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Recap.md the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display that content to operate the features you request. You represent that you have the rights and permissions required to provide the content.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • capture or process content unlawfully or without required consent;
  • access another person's account or data, or bypass product security;
  • upload malware, disrupt the service, or abuse its infrastructure;
  • use the service to violate privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights; or
  • resell or reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it.

AI-generated output

Summaries and action items can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review output before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, employment, or other consequential decisions. Recap.md does not guarantee that generated output is correct.

Availability and changes

The service may change, experience interruptions, or be discontinued. We may suspend access needed to protect users, the service, or comply with law. Features may depend on third-party services such as Google, Supabase, Vercel, and OpenAI.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Recap.md is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Recap.md will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

Ending your use

You may stop using the service at any time and can permanently delete your account from Settings. See the account deletion guide. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations, will survive.

Privacy and changes to these terms

The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. We may update these terms, and the effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
